Thesis audit — what we double-checked

Thesis audit — what we double-checked before trusting the assets

Status: complete (2026-09-14)
In plain English: we ran a rigor pass on every loud claim in this pack — exact dollars, name collisions, personnel dual-hats, tenuous rabbit trails — then kept only what held in the report assets.

Inputs: money graph · amplification scoreboard
Glossary: research map appendix

What “rigor” meant here

  1. Exact dollars — re-sum from SFF tables / 990s / primaries; mark ‡ matching pledges separately from cash.
  2. People ≤ source — don’t promote someone past what the filing or byline supports (Tallinn ≠ board member).
  3. MisID sweep — AIPI≠AIPN, Marks≠Luke Samuel Marks, Encode AI≠Encode Justice, GV scholarship≠EA Funds LTFF.
  4. Tenuous trails — chase pass-throughs; close with HIT or score the opacity.
  5. Positive assets only — after the scrub, chart what held (Report assets).

Foreign-influence one-liner

We originally asked whether this EA trunk shared a paymaster with the broader foreign-influence picture. Overlap is slim at best — parallel machines on paper. Don’t reopen that as the main plot of this pack.

What we checked (all filed)

Check What it covered Result
Exact-dollar recompute SFF / GV / ARC→METR figures Filed — dollars in assets + scoreboard
Personnel ≤ source Dual-hats, overclaims Filed — allowed/forbidden table in assets
MisID / EIN / handle Name collisions Filed — glossary + collision table
Prior-evidence hygiene Geo / Thayer / Coxon / METR-gate / weekend / cartel rows Filed
Tenuous trails Nadeau, ‡ statuses, AIPN map, etc. Filed — residuals listed on the research map
Positive assets Mermaid + tables Report assets

Done means

Assets published. The research map routes the pack. Receipts (990-PF, QT IDs, ‡ statuses) live in the linked crumb pages — fidelity kept; this page is the audit wrapper, not a second money graph.
